Nominations for the Dr H.P. Heineken Prize for Biochemistry and Biophysics and the Heineken Young Scientists Awards 2024 are now closed.

This edition, the Alfred Heineken Fondsen Foundation will honour an excellent, internationally recognised scientist and four promising young researchers as a gesture of appreciation for the pioneering work.

The Dr H.P. Heineken Prize for Biochemistry and Biophysics will be awarded to a leading scientist who has made groundbreaking discoveries within biochemistry and biophysics. The prize consists of a freely disposable cash prize of 250,000 USD and a trophy. 

The Heineken Young Scientists Awards will be presented to individuals who are employed at a Dutch university or research institute and have distinguished themselves in one of the following domains: Medical/Biomedical Sciences, Humanities, Natural Sciences, or Social Sciences. All laureates receive a freely disposable cash prize of 15,000 euros and a trophy.
